Stop by Happy Creek Coffee & Tea in Front Royal during January and February to see my latest series, 20 Minute Plein Air. More than anything, this series was a study in presence and grounding. It’s so important to spend time outside, sometimes in motion and sometimes in stillness. In the still moments, I feel like it’s easiest for me to really soak it up when I’m there as an artist, really dissecting the colors and shadows and emotion of the landscape. This series was so much more about the process than the product, but some of the best results can come from that kind of freeing mindset.
